SUMMARY
Clinicians implement group and individual therapy sessions with students. They develop student treatment plans and spearhead the design of the schools’ therapeutic learning environment

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide mental health services to students: regularly facilitate group and individual counseling sessions.
• Collect data: utilize intakes, progress notes, IEP behavior data, and other assessments, to pinpoint wins, challenges, and growth.
• Develop and support student treatment plans and/or other individualized student plans (e.g., Behavior Support Plans; Crisis Plans; etc.).
• Work with staff to ensure a therapeutic milieu throughout the school/program.
• Collaborates with and learns alongside the school tribe.

DAILY DUTIES
• Review and update student treatment plans and/or other individualized student plans.
• Contact parents and families.
• Check-in with students.
• Observe students in numerous areas of the school.
• Participate in responsive and proactive circles.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or School Counseling.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• 1-3 years related experience and/or training, licensure preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
• None required

QUALIFICATIONS
• Language Skills
Ability to read, write, and analyze complex documents. Ability to compose emails that are professional, clear, and concise.
• Mathematical Skills
Ability to collect student performance data and make inferences based on trends.
• Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
• Clinical insight and experience working with at risk youth.
• Ability to work as team member
• Organizational skills
• Communication skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Employee is required to perform de-escalation and physical non-violent crisis interventions as needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Clinicians work primarily indoors and in direct contact with students, the public and school district staff.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

TRAVEL
• This position requires little travel. This is an on-site position.
